We CAN'T do it without you. Volunteers are VITAL to the success of My Kidz Closet!

Once you are a registered consignor, you will have an opportunity to view available volunteer opportunities within your account.

Why Volunteer?

• Shop first at the volunteer preview sale!
• Be able to give a friend one of your extra armbands for them to shop early, @ 5:30, for our Wednesday preview sale!
• If you work 1 or more shifts you don't have to pay the $10 seller fee!
• Multiple shifts can allow you to bring more friends to the volunteer preview sale!
• Multiple shifts can allow you to keep a higher percentage of your sales!
• Shifts are not required to be consecutive.
• We offer shifts at several different times during the week in order to accommodate any consignor's busy schedule.
• The Volunteer Preview Sale is held for three hours prior to the Consignor Preview Sale and the volunteers get the very first shopping opportunity at each sale. It is our way to say “THANK YOU”! The more hours you volunteer the earlier you shop!!!
• FREE babysitting available for volunteers for Sunday setup from 1:00PM - 6:00PM, Friday shifts from 5:00pm - 9:00pm and Saturday shifts from 11:00am - 6:00pm.
• Volunteers also earn a Half Price Preview Sale on Friday, from 3pm - 5pm. VOLUNTEERS ONLY. NO FRIENDS.

SHIFTS ARE OFFERED 4 HOUR BLOCKS

"CRITICAL SHIFTS" - SATURDAY LOAD TRUCK, SUNDAY SETUP, TUESDAY DROP OFF AND SATURDAY BREAKDOWN.

"DRINK" shifts - Count as 8hrs - Bring 6 cases of coke products 2 of which are water. My Kidz Closet will provide cups.

"MEAL" shifts - Count as 8hrs - Donate $35 cash, exact change. This can be brought during your drop off apointment.

"POSTCARD" shifts - Count as 8hrs - Drop off postcards to local businesses for display.

DRINK, MEAL AND POSTCARD SHIFT HOURS ONLY COUNT TOWARDS EARLY SHOPPING AND/OR SELLER FEE ELIMINATION, NOT TOWARDS PERCENTAGE EARNED.

Register as a Volunteer Online

Signing-up for shifts is on a first-come first-served basis. Register for your shifts early after you log on to your account by clicking on the "Consignor Home Page" button on the Consignor page.. Only available shifts will show online, so if you don't see the shift you were looking for, it is already full. However, we are always looking for volunteers so e-mail us at the address on the Contact Us page and we will try to find a spot for you. After you register online you will receive a confirmation e-mail and will also receive a reminder e-mail the week of the sale.

Volunteer Tasks

Make sure you wear comfortable clothing and shoes. The tasks assigned to workers during their shift are dependent on the needs of a shift. We will always give complete instructions to workers so that they will be comfortable with the tasks assigned to them. It's easy, it's fun!!

• Check-In:

Assist consignors with bringing in their items

Once items have been evaluated, you will help by putting items in the correct areas on the sales floor.

Keep the sales floor neat and organized



• Sale Set-Up:

Ensure all clothing is in the correct gender and size designations

Ensure all toys, equipment and other items are in their designated areas



• Sale:

Assist shoppers on the sales floor

Help at check-out

Assist shoppers to their vehicles

Constantly keeping the sales floor neat and organized

Volunteer Overview

• Register online by clicking
• Sign up for shift/shifts
• Wear comfortable clothing and shoes
• NO cell phone use during volunteer duties except for emergency use only!
• We provide light snacks and water for workers during their shift. Please plan your usual meals around your work shift.
• HUSBANDS NEEDED - we could really use some muscles on Saturday load truck, Sunday set up and Saturday clean up!! This is a volunteer shift even if the consignor isn't the one working the shift. This is a very strenuous shift!!
• Make sure you sign in when volunteering; this is the only way to insure your participation in your shift
• Children not allowed with volunteers on Wednesday - Friday am shifts! We offer FREE childcare for volunteers for the SUNDAY SETUP shifts 1:00pm - 5:00pm, MONDAY and TUESDAY shifts 3:00pm - 7:00pm, FRIDAY shifts 5:00pm - 9:00pm and SATURDAY BREAKDOWN shifts 11:00am - 6:00pm.
• Our goal is to make your work experience enjoyable and pleasant. We try to have fun while we are working the sale! We look forward to having you join us!!

We understand that circumstances arise that may make it impossible for you to make your volunteer shift. PLEASE e-mail us as soon as you can to let us know that you won't be able to make it or cannot find someone suitable to take your place so we can try to fill the slot.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO FULLFILL YOUR VOLUNTEER SHIFTS, CANNOT FIND A SUITABLE REPLACEMENT AND YOU DO NOT CONTACT US, YOUR PERCENTAGE EARNED WILL BE LOWERED TO 60% AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SELL AT THE NEXT SALE.
